Names
Is this SAS 5?
No. The store name is Zombie Assault: Resurgence. The 23 Oct 2024 announcement calls it the sequel to SAS: Zombie Assault 4, set 100 years later. 'SAS 5' is a search nickname. It is not the title on Steam, and there is no separate SAS 5 product in the records checked on 2 Nov 2026.
Three public facts
- The announcement post says sequel, and it says the story sits 100 years after SAS 4.
- Steam sells Resurgence as app 2747660, released 28 Oct 2026, paid.
- Steam sells SAS 4 as app 678800, released 16 Oct 2017, free to play.
People reach for 'SAS 5' because Resurgence is the next game in the series and the title dropped the number. The nickname is understandable. It is still the wrong name on a receipt.

If you wanted the 2026 game, the home page is the overview and the price page is the receipt. A longer comparison lives at Resurgence vs SAS 4. If a product named SAS 5 appears later, this page should change. As of 2 Nov 2026 it has not.
