There is a free demo. It is Steam app 4377450, dated 12 Feb 2026, still listed as free on 2 Nov 2026. Dev Diary 13 describes a vertical slice: three classes, level cap 12, three maps, five mission types, two bosses, and online co-op.

Download it from the Steam demo page. It is a separate app from the paid game. I am not calling it a limited-time offer: the page was still up and marked free on 2 Nov 2026, and no end date was printed there.

The pistol reward is not your save

Players who joined the Next Fest week and the global kill goal were told they would receive the Morlok Frostbite pistol in the full game. That is an account reward. It is not a statement that levels, inventory, or skills move over. The argument about what else carries is on demo progress.

Is the Zombie Assault: Resurgence demo still available?

On 2 Nov 2026 the Steam demo app was still listed and marked free. The main game store page showed a demo download section.

Does the demo support multiplayer?

Yes. The demo's store categories include online co-op and cross-platform multiplayer, and Dev Diary 13 describes party invites.

Does demo progress save into the full game?

The studio promised the Morlok Frostbite pistol to Next Fest participants. It did not publish a progress transfer. See the progress page.

How do I download the demo?

Open the main Steam store page and use its demo download section (the demo is app 4377450). This site does not host the files.
